Vipkid

VIPkid is a really cool opportunity to make up to $24 an hour teaching ESL online. You are the teacher and you teach English to children in China. You set up a digital classroom, and create a profile that appeals to parents who want to book you to teach their children. This is ideal for Teachers looking to supplement their income or someone with a degree or teaching experience looking to make more money with a flexible schedule.

It definitely has its ups and downs as far as positives and negatives are concerned.

Cons: You are on Beijing time so depending on where you are in the world you might have to wake up at 5am to teach because its 7pm for them.

You are an independent contractor so you are not guaranteed to have classes to teach, that is up to you to get booked.

Pros: You can make at least $1,000 a month with only a couple hours work each day.

If you have to get up early to teach, your day is finished before the kids get up so your day is finished before theirs starts!

You create your own schedule and can take vacations whenever you want. You are not required to have a certain number of spots open. Plus, you get paid per class and classes are only 25 minutes each. You even get paid if a student doesn’t show up.

You are changing lives and making a global impact. If you are looking for something more rewarding, this is for you. Survey Junkie

How it works: It’s that simple, you take surveys and you earn points. You then convert that to cash. Survey Junkie is a trusted survey panel that rewards its members with real cash and/or free e-gift cards for completing fun and easy online surveys. Survey Junkie is regarded as one of the most popular, practical and agreeable ways to earn some extra income online, quickly and legitimately.

Pros: Same as most work at home opportunities, you can do it in your pajamas and in your own time. You also get to choose which topics you would like to survey. It only take a few minutes per sevey so it’s quick and you only have to work a few extra minutes a day.

Cons: Don’t look at it as a new stream of income that will replace your day job unless you are planning on sitting in front of your computer doing surveys all day. Although it is a possibility, this is just to make a few extra bucks. Definitely worth checking out if this is your thing.

Fiverr

How it works: Fiverr is an online e-lancer site. If you have any sort of creative skill such as writing resumes, creating logos, developing websites, designing ads you can basically run your own little business doing work for people who need help with certain tasks. If you have any skill in graphic design, digital marketing, writing & translation, audio production, or any other programing or technical ability, you can be a “seller” and start freelancing today.

Pros: You can legitimately start your own business creating for people who bid your projects with no startup costs. They have a global network and payment is automatically transferred to you as soon as the project is completed.

Cons: If you do not have any sort of skill, this isn’t for you. You might make less than you would working at an office because you are paid based on the actual project and not on an hourly basis. Although you could set up your account like that, it would be up to you and the bidders agreement. Some people prefer to be compensated in this manner in which case, this is for you.

Or if you want to be able to work remotely as a freelancer (or e-lancer as I like to call it) Fiverr actually has courses you can take to learn a skill.
